During the final week of the tour, I ended up finishing off two patterns I have been testing. I will be writing a dedicated review for them in the future, but I did want to share them with you. They have been great to wear this last week of January.
5 out of 4 Patterns released their Zen Pants on Thursday. I used the chocolate brown winter jersey that I had in last week’s blog post. It is aptly named because this is a really nice weight for winter and they are quite warm and cozy!
These pants pair up perfectly with the Bridget Top that I wrote about here, as well as my turtlenecks. The one I am wearing here is the Itch to Stitch Hepburn turtleneck. I love how all of the colours work together. This is a really different look for me, but I kinda like the retro look!
The other pattern I made is a first for me to make. I made slippers! These are the new Brody Boots for teen & adult sizes. This pair is made with a jersey lining and the outer layer is a bird print cotton with a stretch twill heel.
We have removed most of the carpeting in our home over the years so having slippers to wear, especially in the middle of winter, is a must. These are great for scrap busting so I foresee a lot more of these in my future!

Slippers is such an overlooked sew for winter! We have carpet, but there is an air duct running from the outside to my furnace that is directly under my sewing area. My feet get SO cold!
